6-24-21   THOUGHTS

WE are in a war dear Christian.  
God is LOVE and TRUTH... Satan is THE LIE of HATE!
We share some passages this morning about our part in this war.  
1Cor 10:3-5      For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, 4  for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. 5  We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ,
Rom 13:12  The night is almost gone, and the day is near. Therefore let us lay aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.
Eph 6:10-19   Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. 11  Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. 12  For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13  Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. 14  Stand firm therefore, HAVING GIRDED YOUR LOINS WITH TRUTH, and HAVING PUT ON THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, 15  and having shod YOUR FEET WITH THE PREPARATION OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE; 16  in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17  And take THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18  With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints, 19  and pray on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel,
1Thes 5:8-9   But since we are of the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation.  9  For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,
2Cor 4:6-7   For God, who said, "Light shall shine out of darkness," is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. 7  But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves;

My Prayer:
O God, may your power and the truth of Jesus, be known in all the world.  Help us to develop and use the armor you have given us to fight the good fight of faith and lay hold on eternal life.
Guide us to the destroying of speculations and every lofty thing raised up against your truth. Help us to reign in every thought for our obedience to Christ.       In Jesus we pray...       Amen
